Public Consultation on the Draft Call for Proposals for the HUN-REN Supported Research Groups Programme 2024
The planned total budget is over HUF 400 million, with an annual allocation of HUF 45-90 million per research group.
The main objectives of the Programme are:
- To support the establishment of research groups led by internationally recognised young researchers, with members from several scientific fields.
- To encourage multi- and interdisciplinary research, where distant but complementary disciplines work in synergy.
- To promote close collaboration between HUN-REN, other research sites, and universities.
In line with the strategic measures of the John von Neumann Programme, HUN-REN HQ expects the supported research groups to achieve results-oriented performance in the areas of educating future researchers, research outputs and impact, increasing international visibility, grant activity, and engagement with economic actors. This is intended to contribute to the establishment of the innovation pillars of a knowledge-based, high value-added economy.
