NOVELTY RESEARCH

The Novelty Research service offers professional support through patent attorneys contracted by the HUN-REN Centre, specifically for researchers at research institutions.

The primary goal of this service is to provide a foundation for decisions regarding the industrial property protection of innovative (technical) solutions or significant research investments. This is achieved by assessing whether the research subject is genuinely novel or if similar results or solutions already exist. By doing so, it helps prevent duplication, saves time and resources, and allows researchers to build upon existing scientific achievements while guiding their work toward truly innovative directions.

As part of the service, an experienced patent attorney evaluates the solutions developed during the research and determines if they meet the criteria for protection. At the end of this process, researchers receive detailed recommendations regarding their protection options and potential next steps. Thus, the Novelty Research serves as an effective tool for supporting intellectual property protection and enhancing researchers' innovative efforts.
