Ecosystems and the Green Future: Climate Protection Takes Center Stage at Science Expo
For the first time, this year's Science Expo will be held at the Museum of Fine Arts from November 21 to 23, featuring participation from various HUN-REN institutions alongside Hungary's major universities. The event will offer lectures and demonstrations on critical themes like climate change and sustainability.
We have already introduced the participating institutes of the HUN-REN. Now, let's explore another stand, featuring engaging demonstrations and intriguing topics.
The HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research, the HUN-REN Research Centre for Natural Sciences, and the Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. for Applied Research will present on ecosystems and the green future.
Climate Protection and Birds
The institutions' stands will feature interactive displays on sustainability and green energy innovations, such as an energy simulation field table, next-generation batteries, and fuel cells.
Visitors can enjoy hands-on demonstrations, talks, and climate protection programs focused on topics like nature restoration and the study of bird behavior as it relates to climate change. While bird behavior is a focus, researchers at the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research are also studying broader shifts in temperature and precipitation patterns throughout the year. These changes could significantly impact species distribution and other ecological phenomena.
Meanwhile, researchers at the Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. for Applied Research are preparing equally engaging topics for Researchers' Night 2024. A short preview can be watched here.
Detailed programs will be available soon on the institutes' websites.
