French-Hungarian joint research projects will commence with ELKH co-financing
Researchers from four ELKH research sites, the Institute for Nuclear Research, the Balaton Limnological Research Institute, the Institute for Computer Science and Control, and the Wigner Research Centre for Physics will begin their collaboration with their French partners in 2023.
In the International Emerging Actions (IEA) program announced by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in June 2022, four out of ten evaluated proposals to be carried out with the participation of ELKH researchers were selected among approximately one hundred supported projects. Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between CNRS and ELKH, the ELKH Secretariat has committed to provide about the same amount of funding for ELKH researchers participating in the projects as the CNRS support awarded to French researchers. This additional funding, which promotes mobility between researchers and research groups for two years, aims to encourage collaborations in the designated research fields.
